How do we match tutors?
We match tutors with students based on several factors including subject expertise, availability, teaching style, and personality traits. After receiving a student's application and assessing the outcomes of the personality test, provided it has been undertaken, we carefully assess their academic needs and preferences. We then review our pool of tutors to identify individuals whose qualifications, teaching methods, and personalities align closely with the student's requirements. Through this personalised matching process, we strive to create effective and harmonious tutor-student relationships conducive to successful learning outcomes.
How do we find tutors?
We actively pursue individuals who demonstrate both subject expertise and a sincere commitment to education, striving for student success. We advertise tutoring opportunities on various online platforms and handpick high-achieving year 12 graduates, along with considering pre-service teachers, to ensure a skilled and well-rounded team. Our focused recruitment efforts aim to build a team of dedicated tutors who embody our values and address the diverse needs of our students.
Do all of our tutors have WWCC's?
Yes, all our tutors undergo Working With Children Checks (WWCC) to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. This check verifies that tutors do not have any relevant criminal history that could pose a risk to children under their care. It is a mandatory requirement to maintain a safe and secure learning environment for our students.
If tutoring is online, what is the process?
During online tutoring, the process begins with an initial consultation to assess academic needs and technology requirements. Tutors are matched based on qualifications and scheduling preferences. Sessions are conducted using virtual platforms, with tutors employing various online tools for interactive learning. Regular communication and feedback ensure the effectiveness of sessions, with ongoing evaluation for optimisation.
